Call Before You Dig
If you're planning to do any outdoor work, such as landscaping, installing a fence or excavating for construction, be sure to call before you dig. Lebanon Utilities is a member of the Indiana Underground Plant Protection Service.
IUPPS is a FREE Statewide Utility Notification Service that has been providing Hoosiers and Member Utilities a cost effective means of locating their underground utility lines for over 21 years.
Just call 1-800-382-5544 at least "2 Full Working Days" but not more than 20 calendar days prior to the start of your excavation and they will notify Lebanon Utilities. You will need the County and the Township as well as the street address and cross street for us to properly process your locate request.
You may also be asked for the following information: section number, type of work, extent of work, name of caller, title of caller, start date, start time, contractor, contractor's address and best time to call back.
When you start digging, try to stay at least 24 inches away from the marked lines. If you're planting a tree, remember to consider the length of the roots as the tree matures, and don't plant larger trees below overhead power lines.
